Halloween Fun Around Chestermere & Langdon

October is creeping closer, and Chestermere and Langdon are packed with family-friendly Halloween fun. From pumpkin patches to costume dances, there’s no shortage of ways to celebrate spooky season. Mark your calendars, here’s what’s brewing:

October 18 – Chestermere Lions Club Pumpkin Patch

Start the Halloween fun a little early at the Chestermere Lions Club annual Pumpkin Patch. From 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn, balloon animals, story time, and more. Pumpkins are available for $10 each, perfect for carving night!

October 18 – Langdon Halloween Event Schedule

Langdon has a full day of spooky fun lined up:

9:00 am – 1:00 pm

  • Costume photo ops, Pumpkin patch (by donation) & candy gun. Crafts, concession, marker tattoos & activities

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

  • Jelly Bean Costume Dance Get your costumes and dancing shoes ready! Advanced tickets are required (only 100 available).

    • Free: children 2 & under + adults (ticket still needed)

    • $5: children 3–12, includes a snack combo (buy by Oct. 13 for this deal)

    • Extra concession treats: popcorn, chips, hot dogs, candy, and more (tap & cash accepted).
      Note: Kids under 10 must have an adult with them.

4:15 pm – 5:45 pm

  • Family Bingo at the Fieldhouse (costumes encouraged!)

October 19 – Pumpkin Palooza

The 4th annual Pumpkin Palooza is back at the Chestermere Library! Wear your best costume, see a magic show, trick or treat, and participate in a spiderweb maze and ghost toss. Registration is required for the magic shows. Hosted in conjunction with the Trunk or Treat and Haunted Hunt. Join the Chestermere Library for their not-so-scary Halloween celebration.

October 19 – Trunk or Treat

The 8th annual Trunk or Treat with Little Lake Locals takes over the Chestermere Library parking lot. Kids can wander from decorated vehicle to decorated vehicle, collecting goodies in a safe, festive setting.

No registration is required to attend, and it’s always free for families. Local businesses or organizations can still register a trunk for $25 to join the fun. Hosted in conjunction with the Pumpkin Palooza and Haunted Hunt.

October 19 – Haunted Hunt

New this year is the Haunted Hunt, hosted by Fuel House in partnership with the City of Chestermere. From 2:00–6:00 pm, families can follow spooky clues along the pathway and through the off-leash area south of the Chestermere Library, collecting treats and solving riddles as they go. The first few to complete the hunt will win prizes, and there will also be costume awards for kids, parents, and even pets. Expect some frightful fun, with Dr. Giggles and his crew waiting to deliver surprises around every corner.



With everything from pumpkin patches and bingo to trunk-or-treating, costume dances, and the all-new Haunted Hunt, there’s plenty of Halloween magic waiting for families in Chestermere and Langdon this October.
