What is Little Lake Locals?
Little Lake Locals replaced Macaroni KID Chestermere in March 2025, continuing the mission of helping families answer the age-old question, "What are we doing today?". We curate a weekly e-newsletter and manage an online calendar packed with local, low-cost (or free) events and activities. While most events are in the Chestermere area, we sometimes feature others if they’re worth the trip. Little Lake Locals is also the organizer behind several signature community events.
Who is Little Lake Locals?
Hi, I’m Kim, a lifelong Chestermere local and community builder who’s made it her job to help families have more fun close to home. Born and raised here, my kids are now 4th-generation "Chestermerians." When I’m not scouting out fun things to do, I’m volunteering or planning events. I’ve worked in the Chestermere non-profit sector for most of my adult life and have organized everything from Winter and Water Festivals to Bulls on the Beach and the Chestermere Country Fair. I’ve also helped start local initiatives like 100 Women Who Care Chestermere, Imagination Library of Chestermere Foundation and the Formative 5 Early Childhood Coalition.
