Little Lake Locals

Volunteers are required for the Chestermere Children’s Festival on June 20, 2026, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Youth are welcome, but must be able to work with minimal supervision. This is an outdoor event.

Chestermere United FC

Chestermere United FC is in need of volunteer coaches. No previous coaching experience is necessary, just a passion for the sport and a willingness to learn. SE Rocky View Food Bank

The SE Rocky View Food Bank provides hampers to individuals and families in Indus, Langdon, and surrounding rural areas. They need volunteers to assist with transporting and sorting. They are also always in need of donations. For more information please email them.


City of Chestermere Boards & Committees

Looking to have a voice in local decisions? The City of Chestermere has various boards and committees that advise Council and help shape the future of our community. It’s a great way to get involved, share your perspective, and make a civic impact. Opportunities vary; watch for openings on the City’s socials or visit the city's website to learn more.


Langdon Days

Langdon Days is Langdon’s annual community festival that brings neighbours together to celebrate everything that makes Langdon such a great place to live. From the parade and children’s festival to the pancake breakfast, car show, and entertainment — it takes many amazing volunteers to make this three-day event possible.

Community Therapy Dogs Society

Volunteer Position - Handler with Dog or Volunteers for Events. Volunteers will require an assessment before starting. This is suitable for 18+. For more details, please email CTDS.


Drive Happiness

Drive Happiness is looking for volunteers to drive low-income seniors in Chestermere to/from appointments (often in Calgary). This is a very flexible and rewarding volunteer opportunity. You get to pick and choose which rides to do, so it works with your schedule! You are also compensated for your fuel.

Men’s Shed Partnership Project

CWCS has partnered with the Men’s Shed group on two exciting community projects:

A 5-foot lighthouse for our CWCS Chestermere Parade float
A new outdoor donation drop box for the Synergy Building

We’re looking for volunteers (or friends/family!) who enjoy building, tinkering, painting, or possibly 3D printing the lighthouse topper.

Grant Writing Support – Art Installation Project

CWCS is collaborating on a powerful awareness initiative called The Self Portrait Project.

This project will feature life-sized silhouettes filled with handwritten personal stories, creating a visual representation of lived experiences and resilience. The installation aims to elevate survivor voices, foster community understanding, and support healing through creative expression.

We are seeking volunteers with grant writing experience to help secure funding for this initiative. If you'd like to assist, email Lyndsey at volunteercoordinator@cwcshelps.com


Homework Helpers Tutor (Synergy) 

Looking to help youth in grades 4 - 12? Come volunteer at The Drop for our Homework Helpers program on Wednesdays from 6 -  8pm.  Please get in touch so we can meet you and ensure this is the right fit for you. This is open to youth 16+. For more details please email Terry.


Chestermere Fine Art Guild

Volunteer to help with the promotion of the Chestermere Fine Art Guild and events during the summer. Roles and responsibilities include designing posters using online software, writing content about art and art events for our website and social media, posting events on social media, helping to build a website photo album, and setting up and taking down for art workshops and classes.

Approximately 5 hours per week – July and August 2026

Once you have completed training, you will often work independently and communicate with your supervisor electronically.

You are invited to join our drop-in art every week (3 hrs), classes twice per month (2 hrs) and our workshops once per month (3 to 6 hrs) at no charge.

You have these qualifications:

  • Sixteen years or older.

  • Very good English language skills,

  • An interest in visual arts and/or online advertising.

  • Can work independently.

  • Good computer skills.

Events & Projects Volunteers (Synergy)

Events include Video Game Nights, Pancakes in the Park.

Looking to volunteer here and there? Need to attain volunteer hours? This opportunity allows you to volunteer when you are able, depending on the event or project we have coming up. Events can be things like video game nights, pancakes in the park, game nights etc. Projects can involve accomplishing odd jobs, organizational tasks or bigger team projects. Langdon Community Library

Langdon Walk and Run Planning Committee - Planning and Race Day (June 7, 2026) positions available.

We are currently looking for new faces on our Society! Would you like to help our library operations? Are you passionate about literacy and libraries and want to ensure our community is best served by our library? We would love to talk to you! Commitment typically ranges from 1-5 hours per month.
