The circus is back, but not the kind you remember from childhood. Cirque Italia’s Water Circus Platinum is rolling into CrossIron Mills in Rocky View County from September 19 to 29, 2025, bringing jaw-dropping acrobatics, dazzling lights, and a massive water stage that makes this show unlike anything else touring Canada.
A Stage That Moves Like Water
The centrepiece is a custom-built stage with over 35,000 gallons of water. Fountains, jets, and curtains of water set the backdrop for high-energy acts ranging from aerial silks and contortion to trampoline flips and highwire stunts. The combination of acrobatics, music, light effects, and water creates an atmosphere that feels part theatre, part spectacle, and 100% mesmerizing.
Cirque Italia is also proudly animal-free, focusing instead on talent, artistry, and the kind of show-stopping visuals that make kids’ jaws drop and adults nudge each other with a “how did they do that?”

Performances take place under a climate-controlled big top, meaning you can relax no matter what Alberta’s fall weather decides to throw at us.
