A Full Day of Halloween Fun in Chestermere

Chestermere families can look forward to a jam-packed day of Halloween celebrations on Sunday, October 19, with the return of two community favourites and the addition of a brand-new event.

The fun begins at the Chestermere Library with the 4th annual Pumpkin Palooza, a not-so-scary celebration filled with costumes, trick-or-treating, a spiderweb maze, ghost toss, and live magic shows. Registration is required for the magic shows, and the event runs from 12:00 – 3:15 pm.

At the same time, the 9th annual Trunk or Treat with Little Lake Locals will take over the library parking lot. Kids can make their way from decorated vehicle to decorated vehicle, collecting goodies in a safe, festive setting. No registration is required to attend, and local businesses or organizations can still register a trunk for $25.

New this year is the Haunted Hunt, hosted by Fuel House in partnership with the City of Chestermere. From 2:00–6:00 pm, families can follow spooky clues along the pathway and through the off-leash area south of the library, collecting treats and solving riddles as they go. The first few to complete the hunt will win prizes, and there will also be costume awards for kids, parents, and even pets. Expect some frightful fun, with Dr. Giggles and his crew waiting to deliver surprises around every corner.

Tickets for the Haunted Hunt are $15 each, with 100% of proceeds supporting the Alberta Cancer Foundation. The funds raised will go toward research, early detection, and programs that make the cancer journey a little easier for families across Alberta. Tickets will be available soon.

With Pumpkin Palooza, Trunk or Treat, and now the Haunted Hunt, October 19 is set to be a day of community, costumes, and plenty of Halloween magic in Chestermere.
