More than 50 girls ages 8–14 attended the Go Girl event on May 15 at the Calgary Yacht Club, featuring sailing, wellness workshops, team building, and outdoor activities.

A national funding announcement is translating into something pretty tangible here at home: more kids in Calgary will get the chance to try sailing this summer, including some at no cost.

Set sail this summer with the Calgary Yacht Club’s Sail Canada-accredited camps, perfect for young adventurers ages 5 to 17. Running weekdays in July and August, these full-day camps offer hands-on experience with sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding—all equipment provided.
