Junior Curling in Chestermere: A Fun Winter Sport for Kids and Teens
If you are looking for a fun, active winter activity for your 7 to 17-year-old, curling might be the perfect fit. The Chestermere Curling Club is welcoming new and returning players to its Junior Curling League for the 2026 season, and there are still a few spots available.
When
Sundays, January 4, 2026, to mid-March 2026
Draw Times
1:30–3:00 pm | Beginners
Ages 7–10 (or 11)
New curlers or up to 2 years’ experience
Drills, instruction, 2-end game
Lite rocks to start
Helmets required under 12
3:00–4:30 pm | Intermediate & Advanced
Ages 10+
Some experience required
Drills plus 4-end game
Helmets required under 12, strongly recommended for all
New curlers aged 11–12 are encouraged to attend both sessions on Jan 4 to find the best fit.
Cost
Free with a Chestermere Recreation Centre Membership. Memberships are purchased through the Rec Centre.
Registration

What to Bring
Clean indoor shoes
Warm layers, gloves, stretchy pants
Helmet (required under 12)
All curling equipment is provided.
Bonus
A fun, in-house junior bonspiel is planned for March 16, 2026.
