Discover Chestermere Community Playschool at Their August Open House
Families looking ahead to the school year are invited to explore everything the Chestermere Community Playschool has to offer during their Open House on Tuesday, August 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Located on the second level of the Chestermere Rec Centre (201 West Chestermere Drive), Chestermere Community Playschool is a non-profit, parent-run preschool that has been helping local children learn and grow through play for over 40 years.
The Open House is a great opportunity to tour the facility, meet the teaching team, ask questions about the program, and learn how a play-based environment helps prepare children for Kindergarten.
At the Chestermere Community Playschool, play is at the heart of learning. The curriculum-guided program encourages children to build confidence, develop social skills, and learn alongside their peers through hands-on activities and imaginative play. The structured routine also helps children become comfortable with classroom expectations, making the transition to Kindergarten a little easier.
The playschool's location within the recreation centre offers unique opportunities that many programs can't match. Throughout the year, students enjoy activities such as skating days at the arena, along with access to a dance studio, craft room, gymnasium, and outdoor fields. These experiences complement themed learning and create a fun, engaging environment where children can learn and grow.
For the upcoming school year, families can choose from morning or afternoon classes, with attendance options of 2, 3, or 5 days per week, providing flexibility to fit a variety of family schedules.
Whether you're exploring preschool options for the first time or looking for a nurturing environment where your child can learn through play, the August 19 Open House is the perfect chance to see what the Chestermere Community Playschool is all about.
One-on-one tours are available to meet the teachers and see the location. Visit the Chestermere Community Playschool’s website for more information and to register early to secure your spot!
