Langdon Days Returns July 17 to 19 with Three Days of Family Fun

One of Langdon's biggest weekends of the year is almost here. Langdon Days returns July 17 to 19 with three packed days of community celebrations, family activities, live entertainment, great food, and plenty of opportunities to make summer memories.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

Friday: Kick Off the Weekend

The festivities begin Friday evening with community favourites including bingo, the slow-pitch tournament, food trucks, concessions, and the beer gardens. It's the perfect way to ease into a weekend packed with activities.

Saturday: The Main Event

Saturday is the busiest day of Langdon Days, beginning with a community breakfast before the annual Langdon Days Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m.

The parade route travels from Mowat Street along Centre Street, Anderson Avenue, 4th Street, Douglas Avenue, and Railway Avenue. Families looking for a quieter viewing experience should note that a Quiet & No Spray Zone will be available along Railway Avenue between Mowat Street and Centre Street.

After the parade, head to Langdon Park where the fun continues all afternoon.

From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Children's Festival transforms the park into a giant playground featuring:

  • Big Truck Petting Zoo

  • Mechanical riding bison

  • Pony rides

  • Mini petting zoo

  • Bouncy castles

  • Nerf Wars

  • Face painting and balloon animals

  • Mini golf and soccer

  • Dunk tank

  • Music and entertainment

  • Free treats and much more

One of the biggest attractions is the Big Truck Petting Zoo, where kids can climb aboard tractors, construction equipment, school buses, emergency vehicles, and other impressive machines while meeting the people who operate them. It's a fun, hands-on experience that gives children a chance to explore vehicles they usually only see from a distance.

You'll also find a vendor market, horse wagon rides, pickleball tournament, food vendors, and activities happening throughout the park.

The evening wraps up with a family movie followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Sunday: Cars, Competition and Community

The celebration continues Sunday at Horseshoe Crossing High School with the popular Langdon Show & Shine from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Classic cars, custom builds, trucks and motorcycles will be on display alongside live music, local vendors, community displays, food trucks, the Battle of the Techs competition, and kids' Power Wheels Races.

The final day also includes the Cornhole Tournament and championship games for the weekend slow-pitch tournament.

Support the Community

Throughout the weekend, visitors can purchase 50/50 tickets and Power Wheels raffle tickets while supporting community programming.

Organizers are also collecting donations for the SERV Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off along the parade route and at Langdon Park throughout the weekend.

Plan Your Weekend

With activities happening all weekend long, there's something for every age, whether you're coming for the parade, children's activities, live entertainment, classic cars, or simply to enjoy time with friends and neighbours.
