Local Matters: Business Spotlight
Navigating the ups and downs of family life can be rewarding, messy, and sometimes overwhelming. Whether you're working through big emotions, major life changes, or just trying to keep your mental wellness on track, having the right support makes all the difference. In Chestermere, families and individuals have access to just that through Registered Psychologist Baljinder (Bal) Sull, a trusted mental health professional offering counselling services both in person and online across Alberta.
Bal was a guest speaker at Chestermere’s 2025 International Women’s Day Gala.
Bal has been serving the Chestermere and area community since 2018, working with clients navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse, and trauma. Setting Bal apart is her proactive, personalized approach. She believes you don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Instead, she helps clients build meaningful strategies and emotional tools before life throws its curveballs. If you’re navigating a life transition, dealing with burnout, feeling stuck, or seeking clarity, her support can help you move forward with confidence.
Baljinder is also an EMDR-trained therapist, specializing in trauma, PTSD, and grief counselling. Her grief work centres around helping individuals honour both the people they've lost and the lives they continue to live. There’s no one-size-fits-all in grief or healing, and Bal respects that deeply.
Beyond her counselling practice, Bal is one of the driving forces behind Chestermere’s Community Mental Health Fair, a growing annual event that features expert presentations, special guest speakers, and a wide range of local mental health and wellness resources. It’s a reflection of her commitment to breaking down barriers and making mental health support more accessible to everyone in Chestermere. Stay tuned for the next Mental Health Fair, happening in March 2026.
Outside of one-on-one counselling, Bal also works with organizations, including schools, non-profits, municipalities, and frontline services, offering workshops on managing stress, burnout, communication, and more. Her workplace sessions often explore diversity, trauma-informed care, and grief in professional environments.
If you’re looking for compassionate, qualified mental health support for yourself or your family, Baljinder Sull offers a safe space to heal, grow, and move forward, wherever you're starting from.
