Explore Fun and Free Programs for Kids and Families at the Chestermere Library

The Chestermere Public Library is gearing up for another season of learning, creativity, and community connection with its fall lineup of free programs for youth and families. Running from November 3 to December 12, 2025, these sessions offer something for every young mind, from hands-on crafts and reading time to science and engineering fun. Registration opens October 25 at 10:00 am on the Chestermere Public Library website, and spots fill quickly, so families are encouraged to sign up early.

Registration Information

The Chestermere Public Library’s free youth and family programs are open for registration beginning on October 25 at 10:00 am on the Chestermere Public Library website. Each child and program date requires a separate registration unless noted otherwise. If you can’t register online, give the library a call at 403-272-9025 or stop by the library for help. Please note: after two consecutive no-shows without notice, participants may be removed from future Fall Session 2 programs. Children under 8 must have a parent or guardian stay in the Library during programs. Programs run November 3, 2025 to December 12, 2025.


Youth Programs for Ages 6 - 12

Kids creative club

Mondays | 4:15 – 4:45 pm | Ages 6 - 12
Alternate between fine arts and fun craft activities every week. Registration is required.

reading buddies

Tuesdays | 4:15 – 4:45 am | Ages 6 - 12
Reading Buddies is a shared reading program in which your child and a teen volunteer meet in the library once a week to read together and enjoy reading related activities. Registration required.

s.t.e.a.m.

Thursdays | 4:15 – 5:15 pm | Ages 6 - 12
Fun-filled activities with scientific explanations. Each week features a new activity about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Registration required.

surprise saturdays

Saturdays | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm | Ages 6 - 12
Surprise Saturdays is designed to engage participants in unexpected and delightful activities. Each week features a unique surprise revealed only the week before. Registration is required.


Family Programs

bibs, burps and breaks

Fridays | 10:45 am - 111:30 am | Recommended ages of children, 0 - 23 months
Join the Chestermere Library for time to mingle and get to know other parents and caregivers while the little ones play. The library provide toys and space, you provide the fun! Drop-in, registration is not required.

Family Fun Fridays

Select Fridays | 4:15 pm - 4:45 pm | All ages
Join the Chestermere Library on select Fridays for a new activity, game, or craft for the whole family. Please register the whole family including parents in this program. Family Fun Fridays are sponsored by Chestermere Family and Community Support Services. Registration is required.
