Spring Skating Lessons Open at Ice Edge Skating Club

Spring ice is calling, and Ice Edge Skating Club has opened registration for its Spring 2026 learn-to-skate programs. The club’s Skate Canada–sanctioned sessions are built for brand-new skaters and those ready to level up, with a focus on solid skills, confidence, and a supportive on-ice environment. In other words, less wobble, more glide.

Families can choose between PreCanSkate for the youngest learners and CanSkate for school-age skaters and up. Both streams run at local rinks this spring, with small groups and certified coaching through Skate Canada.

A couple of housekeeping notes for parents: all skaters must hold a current Skate Canada membership for the 2025–2026 season ($61.65, valid Sept 1 to Aug 31). If your child skated in Fall 2025 or Winter 2026, you’re already covered for spring. Participants also need an active membership with the Chestermere Regional Community Association.

With warmer days on the way, spring is a great time to build balance, coordination, and confidence on the ice. Bonus perk: tired kids, quiet car ride home.
