Free Home Alone & Babysitting Courses Coming to Chestermere This Summer

Kids can build confidence, independence and practical safety skills this summer through free Home Alone and Babysitting courses hosted at the Chestermere Public Library and provided by Trellis Society. Registration is required for all sessions.

Home Alone Course (Ages 10+)
Learn home safety, basic first aid, emergency response, confidence-building and ways to stay safe while home alone.

When: June 29 (waitlist only), July 20, August 10
Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Where: Chestermere Public Library
Cost: Free, registration required

Babysitting Course (Ages 12+)
Covers childcare basics for children ages three months+, common behaviours, injury prevention, emergency handling and basic first aid.

When: June 26 (waitlist only), August 21
Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Where: Chestermere Public Library
Cost: Free, registration required
