Help the Indus U14C Ringette Team Power Their Season

The Indus U14C Ringette team is hosting a Battery and Bottle Drive on October 18 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Chestermere Rec Centre parking lot, and they’re inviting the community to pitch in.

It’s a simple way to support local youth athletes while keeping recyclable materials out of the landfill. The team will be collecting transportation batteries (such as those from cars, trucks, boats, and RVs) as part of their fundraising efforts. While all battery types will be accepted, only transportation batteries will count toward the team’s fundraiser. The rest will still be safely recycled through Canadian Energy.

If you can’t make it to the Rec Centre, don’t worry. The team will also be going door-to-door throughout Chestermere, collecting both bottles and car batteries. Bottles can also be dropped off directly at the Rec Centre during the event.

All proceeds will go toward tournament costs and player development, enabling these young athletes to continue growing their skills and representing our community with pride.

So round up your old batteries and empty bottles, and help the Indus U14C Ringette team charge up for a great season!
