Whether you're a teen looking for hours for school, a family wanting to volunteer together, or someone who just wants to be part of something meaningful, check out these current volunteer opportunities in Chestermere and surrounding areas:

Langdon Days Volunteers (July 18–20, 2025)

Help bring this epic three-day festival to life. Langdon Days is looking for volunteers at Langdon Park and Iron Horse Fields. Teens welcome! It takes a small army to pull this event off, and they’d love your help.

Chestermere Lake Middle School Hot Lunch Program

Be the hero of lunch hour. This school is desperate for volunteers for its weekly hot lunch program in the 2025/26 school year. It’s just 1.5 hours of your time, and trust us, kids (and teachers) will love you for it.

Community Therapy Dogs Society

Love dogs? Love helping people? Perfect. They’re looking for volunteer handlers (with your dog) or event volunteers. Adults (18+) will need to complete an assessment.

Chestermere Women’s Crisis Society

CWCS depends on local volunteers to continue their vital work supporting women in crisis. Reach out directly to see how you can help make a difference.

Homework Helpers Tutor (Synergy) – Starts September 2025

If you’re 16+ and can help with Grades 4–12 homework, come join The Drop on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Synergy’s Homework Helpers team is growing thanks to big demand. Help students succeed and make Wednesday nights a little smarter.

Synergy Events & Projects Volunteers

Not into regular commitments? No problem. Help with occasional events like Video Game Nights or Pancakes in the Park, or pitch in with projects as needed. Open to youth 16+. Volunteer when it works for you.

South Central Adult Learning Society

Volunteer as a tutor supporting adults in literacy, numeracy, digital skills, or English language learning. It’s one of those gigs where you really see the impact you’re making.

Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society

Got a bit of the pioneer spirit? The Ag Society is looking for volunteers for their 2025 events. Help keep Chestermere’s agricultural roots strong.

SE Rocky View Food Bank

They serve Indus, Langdon, and the surrounding rural areas. Volunteers help transport and sort food hampers, and donations are always needed. Good chance to flex your organizational muscles for a great cause.

RCMP National Youth Advisory Committee

For ages 13–21, this is a chance to speak up about issues in your community and help shape RCMP programs. Commitment is just 2–4 online hours per month. Deadline to apply: September 8, 2025.

City of Chestermere Boards & Committees

Looking to have a voice in local decisions? The City of Chestermere has various boards and committees that advise Council and help shape the future of our community. It’s a great way to get involved, share your perspective, and make a civic impact. Opportunities vary; watch for openings or visit the city's website to learn more.
