Celebrating Culture in Chestermere: Three Festivals You Won’t Want to Miss

Chestermere is gearing up for three incredible cultural celebrations, each bringing food, music, traditions, and community together at John Peake Park. Whether you’re looking to try new foods, learn about different cultures, or just spend a great day by the lake, these events are open to everyone, and they’re all free.

Saturday, August 30, 2025, 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
John Peake Park

Get ready to fire up your taste buds, soak up the sun, and enjoy family fun. This year’s Muslim Fest features a lakeside barbecue, food trucks, sweets and ice cream, local vendors, community booths, and a huge kids’ zone. The day wraps up with fireworks at sunset over the lake.

Presented by the Chestermere Muslim Council and the City of Chestermere.

Chestermere Powwow

As a competition Powwow, there will be a variety of categories, including a special Men’s Chicken Dance (18+) presented by Sheldon Scalplock Sr.

Organized by the Kakato’si Kristian Ayoungman Foundation in partnership with the City of Chestermere.

Annual Hindu Fest Alberta

Sunday, September 7, 2025, 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm
