Let’s Make Chestermere Shine!
Whether you’re all about twinkling elegance, inflatable chaos, or full-on Griswold-style over-the-top, we want to see your holiday spirit! Enter your home in the contest and add it to our interactive map so families can tour around, enjoy the displays, and vote for their favourites.
Why join?
- Get your display featured on the map and viewed by the community. 
- Be eligible for prizes and trophies across four categories. 
- Or simply add your home to the map for fun, no contest entry required. 
- Share some festive joy with Chestermere neighbours and visitors. 
- Winners will be featured in the January issue of the City of Chestermere’s Wave publication 
Key Dates
- Entries accepted: December 1 – 12, 2025 - Your submission must include a photo of your decorated home. 
 
- Committee judging day: December 13, 2025. Your lights must be on by 6:00 p.m. 
- Public voting period: December 13 – 15 via secure online form (local postal codes required). 
Categories
- Best Overall - This category celebrates the display that truly captures the spirit of the season. Judges will be looking for creativity, effort, and overall visual impact. 
- Best Use of Lights - This one’s all about illumination! Entries should showcase creative, effective, or artistic use of lighting. 
- Best Theme or Design - This category highlights displays built around a clear concept or story from “Winter Wonderland” to “Santa’s Workshop” and everything in between. 
- Community Favourite (public vote) 
The first three categories will be judged by a panel (judges TBA). The “Community Favourite” will be decided by the community vote. Photos must accompany all entries.
