Time to Renew Your Recreation Centre Membership

You know that big old community hub with the rinks, soccer fields, ball diamonds, curling sheets, and the parking lot that needs repaving? That’s our Rec Centre. It’s run by a local non-profit (your neighbours on the board), and keeping the lights on is no small feat.

Annual membership fees are a huge part of making it all work. They're not exactly the “get a free toaster” kind of membership, but they’re a solid way to support the place so it can stay in shape for everyone.

What your membership helps with:

  • Maintenance of the ice arenas, fields, diamonds, curling arena

  • Keeping the building in usable shape (parking lot included!)

  • Funding local events and activities

A few perks for members:

  • Free public skating three times a week

  • Weekly free shinny hockey

  • Drop-in curling practice ice on Saturdays

  • 20% off meeting room rentals (excludes halls)

  • Cheaper rates for member associations and programs

If you use the place even a couple of times a year, it pays for itself. And even if you don't? It's an easy way to pitch in.

2025/26 Membership Rates (valid July 1–June 30):

  • Family: $92.50

  • Single: $64.00

  • Senior Family: $69.00

  • Senior Single: $47.25

If you’re already booking fields, rooms or ice regularly, you need a membership anyway (or you'll be paying higher rates).

Bottom line:
If you grew up here, have kids in hockey, soccer, dance, love skating or curling, or just want to see our local Rec Centre thrive, grab a membership. It’s one of the simplest ways to invest in the community.

You can sign up (or renew) here.
