Nurturing Parenting Virtual Lunch & Learn Series Starts March 3
If you’ve ever wished parenting came with a manual, this might be the next best thing.
The Nurturing Parenting Virtual Lunch & Learn Series is a 10-week program designed to support parents and caregivers with practical tools, encouragement, and real-life strategies you can actually use.
Hosted by Trellis Society through the Strathmore and Chestermere Family Resource Network, in partnership with Chestermere Parent Caregiver Support Services, this free virtual series runs every Tuesday from March 3 to May 5, from 12 to 1:30 pm via Teams.
Yes, you can attend during your lunch hour. Coffee is highly recommended.
What You’ll Learn
Each week covers a different topic focused on strengthening family relationships and building confident, connected parenting.
Session topics include:
Philosophy and practices of nurturing parenting
Ages and stages of growth for infants and toddlers
Enhancing positive brain development in children and teens
Communicating with respect
Building self-worth in children
Understanding feelings
Developing family morals, values, and rules
Praising children and their behaviour
Alternatives to spanking
Positive ways to deal with stress and anger
It’s practical, not preachy. The focus is on connection, understanding development, and building long term resilience in kids and caregivers alike.
