Energizer Night Brings Chestermere’s Community Together

Chestermere’s Energizer Night returned September 9, with the main hall at the Chestermere Recreation Centre filled to capacity with local organizations, businesses, programs and community services.

Energizer Night has been a Chestermere tradition for more than 25 years. Since fall 2021, Little Lake Locals has proudly taken over organizing the event from the Chestermere Regional Community Association, keeping the annual community showcase going.

This year, demand for space was strong. The hall accommodated 39 tables, with some organizations using more than one table, and there was a waiting list of additional groups interested in participating.

The result was a busy evening where residents could find out what’s available in their own community, pick up information, ask questions and discover programs and services they may not have known about.

The event featured a broad mix of organizations, including sports and recreation groups, schools and early learning, health and family supports, seniors’ organizations, nonprofits, community groups, local businesses and municipal services.

The Chestermere Public Library also extended into the lobby with its business plan survey, giving attendees a chance to provide input on the future of library services in the community.

And because no community event is complete without snacks, RE/MAX Key kept the popcorn flowing throughout the evening.

A Chestermere tradition continues

The goal of Energizer Night is simple: make it easier for residents to find the people, organizations and services available in their community. With the continued interest from organizations wanting to participate, it’s clear there is no shortage of programs and services to discover in Chestermere.

Little Lake Locals is proud to continue this long-standing Chestermere tradition and grateful to all of the organizations that participated this year.
