Celebrate Diwali at a Free Community Mela in Chestermere

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Diwali with the family? The Diwali Mela is bringing an evening of culture, creativity and connection to Chestermere on Friday, November 6.

Hosted in partnership with Parent and Caregiver Support Services and the Cultural Events Sub-Committee, this community celebration will feature dancing, crafts, games, food and opportunities to connect with others.

Families can enjoy the festivities, take part in creative activities and experience the joy of coming together to celebrate Diwali. The evening was also set to include making samosas and masala chai, but the cooking portion has now reached capacity due to an incredible response.

Still hoping to take part in the cooking activity? A waitlist is available, and participants will be contacted if additional spaces open up.

The good news is that everyone is welcome to join the games, crafts, dancing and other festivities, even if they aren't registered for the cooking portion. Registration is required for each person attending the program.
