Ice Edge Skating Club Summer Camps Return for 2026
Ice Edge Skating Club is back with its Summer 2026 Skating Camps, running July 6 through August 7. Designed for both Pre-STAR and STAR skaters, these camps are all about keeping momentum going through the summer months while building strength, confidence, and consistency on the ice.
For families already in the program, you know the drill. Summer can either be a time where skills quietly slide backwards or a chance to come into fall sharper than you left. These camps are built for the second option.
Pre-STAR Summer Camp
Pre-STAR Camp is designed for skaters transitioning from CANSkate into the StarSkate pathway and have been invited by a coach to join the program.
Each day includes a balanced mix of on-ice and off-ice training to support that important development stage:
1.5 hours of on-ice training, including dance, skills, free skate, and stroking
1 hour of dryland training focused on strength, balance, and coordination
Every Wednesday, an additional 1-hour lecture session with Coach Candice
It’s a structured but supportive environment that helps skaters adjust to more focused training while continuing to build strong technical foundations.
STAR Summer Camp (Junior and Senior Skaters)
For more advanced skaters, the STAR Camp is built to maintain and elevate performance through the off-season.
Each training day includes:
15-minute warm-up
15-minute break to get skates on and prepare
2.5 hours of on-ice training
1 hour of dryland conditioning
Every Wednesday also includes a dedicated 1-hour lecture session with Coach Candice, offering additional insight and development off the ice.
This camp is designed to keep skaters training at a high level throughout the summer, with a focus on consistency, endurance, and technical refinement.
Camp dates
All camps run in weekly blocks:
July 6–9
July 13–16
July 20–23
July 27–30
August 4–7
Families can register for individual weeks based on summer schedules and training needs.
Why summer training matters
Even a short break from structured training can show up quickly once the season starts again. These camps help skaters stay connected to the ice, maintain their conditioning, and continue building on the progress they’ve already made throughout the year.
The result is a smoother transition into fall programming and a stronger start to the competitive season.
Registration
Registration is open through Ice Edge Skating Club. Spaces are limited due to summer ice availability, and weeks typically fill quickly.
