14th Annual Chestermere Easter Egg Hunt – March 28, 2026

Spring in Chestermere wouldn’t be complete without the Easter Egg Hunt, and this year it’s back for its 14th run, now hosted by Little Lake Locals. Families have been coming out for this event for over a decade, and we’re excited to keep the tradition alive.

For 13 years, the City of Chestermere ran the hunt as a United Way fundraiser. Now, Little Lake Locals is taking over, keeping all the fun parts families love. Plus, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Imagination Library of Chestermere, so kids in our community can get free books delivered to their homes and grow a love of reading from the very start.

The hunt happens Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, right in front of City Hall and the Chestermere Public Library. To make sure everyone has plenty of space to run around and fill their baskets, kids are registered for a specific time slot. There are five to choose from: 9:15, 9:45, 10:15, 10:45, and 11:15 am. Tickets are required, and they’re on sale now, grab yours early so your little ones don’t miss out.

Once the eggs are gathered, kids can trade them at the popular Eggschange Line for treats, while parents snap photos of happy, sugar-fueled faces. And yes, the Easter Bunny will be hopping by for greetings and photos too. Depending on how things go, there may even be a few extra family-friendly activities to enjoy. Keep an eye on updates closer to the day.

A big thanks to our partners, Chestermere Public Library and Tim Hortons, for helping make this event happen.

If you’re a local business, there are still sponsorship opportunities to help with the Eggschange Line or the event overall. And if you’ve got some time to spare, volunteers are always welcome, from helping set up to cheering on the kids during the hunts, every hand counts.

It’s a morning of fresh air, laughter, and egg-filled baskets. Come be part of the fun!
